Did you know...

Dry ice can extend the life of wet ice up to 40 hours when small amounts of wet ice are placed on top of dry ice.  Dry Ice has the cooling capacity 15 times greater than wet ice. Dry ice is really solidified carbon dioxide. When dry ice "melts" it returns to carbon dioxide gas.

A Recipe for Fun

Homemade Root Beer

To make 1 gallon of root beer, mix the following together in a deep metal bowl or bucket.


1 lb. Sugar

1 gal. Purified Water

1 oz. Root Beer Extract


Add 3-5 lbs. of dry ice and allow the ice to totally vaporize before drinking.

CAUTION

Since dry ice has a temperature of -109.4°F (-78.6°C) care should always be taken when handling dry ice. Always wear gloves when handling dry ice. if dry ice comes in contact with bare skin any injury similar to a burn will result. Always keep out of reach of children.
